Book Tour for All I Want for Christmas Is You by Lisa Mondello (Guest Post)

While preparing your turkey meal today or enjoying leftovers later tonight Lisa Mondello is here to get you into the holiday spirit with her release, All I Want for Christmas Is You.  Join us today for a little break from the hubbub of the holiday to talk with Lisa about holiday-themed romances.  So sip the hot cocoa and say HI to Lisa......

I love the holiday season.  From Halloween to New Year’s Day I’m all about the holidays.  There is nothing more festive than walking through the stores and seeing all the holiday decorations.  I love looking at the Halloween costumes.  I indulge in a bit of candy for myself and my family.  And I love seeing the Trick or Treaters come door-to-door as they parade around town.

As soon as that is over, the stores begin to fill with Christmas decorations.  I’m a big kid when it comes to Christmas.  I just love everything from good food, sparkling lights, smiles on the faces of people I love and even people I don’t know.  I love thinking about that perfect gift and figuring out which goodies I’m going to cook for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  I’m all excited just thinking about it!

But there is that one holiday in between that seems to be forgotten.  Thanksgiving isn’t exclusive to the U.S.  Canada has its own Thanksgiving holiday.  But since I’m in the U.S. and grew up near Plymouth, Massachusetts, home to the Pilgrims, Thanksgiving was always a big deal.

Unfortunately, Thanksgiving is always forgotten in romance novels.  You can almost always find a holiday story that takes place at Christmas or New Year’s.  You can find the Valentine’s Day and even Halloween stories because you can always make a mystery or suspense out of something spooky.  But there never seems to be anything about Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is that time that I always reflect and count my blessings.  Not just for my country, but for all the blessings I have in my life.  And I have many.  I wish there were more Thanksgiving romances.  Maybe I’m just not finding any.  How about you?  Do you know of any really great Thanksgiving romances?  If so, post it here....

Santa Claus is going to have a rough season... Lauren Alexander is raising her daughter alone. Abandoned by her family for her decision to keep her daughter Kristen, she has done a pretty good job for the last six years. Or she thought she had. That's why she is crushed when little Kristen gives up her wish for a toy or goodie and instead asks Santa for a present for her mother. But delivering Daddies isn't Santa's bag.

But this Santa has a plan...

Kyle Preston knows what it is like to be abandoned too. Luckily he found the support of loving adoptive parents and has turned himself into one of the most successful Real Estate developers in town.
Building a house is easy. Building someone's trust is a whole other story. But a little Christmas magic can make all the difference in the world.
EXCERPT:

"You don't have to be afraid. This will explain it all. I promise you." He smiled warmly and Lauren wanted to trust him if only to believe in simple kindness.
With shaking hands, she took the piece of paper, warm from being in the pocket close to Kyle's body. She held it up straight so that she could see Kyle while reading the words on the paper.
"Dear Santa..." she read out loud, then read the next part silently. "Oh, no," she groaned.
"I know. That's just how I felt."
Lauren shot him a skeptical glance. "How did you get this?"
"Kristen gave it to me."
"That's impossible. Mrs. Hopkins just helped her with it this afternoon and-"
"And she gave it to me in the Mall," Kyle finished for her.
She looked at him quizzically, still trying to comprehend the course of events leading up to his seizure of her daughter's precious note.
"It's not that hard to figure out, Lauren," Kyle said warmly.
His dark eyes gleamed with the light from the lamppost. He wore no hat to protect his head from the falling snow. Now his hair was filled with powdered flakes, matting it down.
His grin was bright and wide as he informed her, "I'm Santa Claus."
